Site changes and New album
April 12, 2009 at 7:22 pm | In music, website updates | Leave a CommentHello Friends,
Please bear with me for a little bit as I make some changes here.
In preparation for the launch of my second album, I’m overhauling my site. You’ll see…
About the album :
It will be called “Chimerical Illusion”, it is a full-length release with ten songs.
It is a combination of rock, funk, and world (best I can describe it).
On this album you will hear some new instruments – I have worked with a new drummer who plays a dazzling array of drums and world percussion, my friend Jeff Willet.
You will also hear something from Vladiswar Nadishana on a song called “Aztec Moon”. He is featured playing hybrid kaval (wind instrument).
Also, I play a new (to me) instrument called a futujara, or, hybrid fujara on several songs. This fujara is a version of the wind instrument that has cultural roots in Slovakia.
The art on the album I am excited to share with you as well, once again my friend Thomas Vacchino shares his gifted eye for a beautifully fitting design to the music.
More to come …
