walking alone in the park one day
looked around when i heard someone say
you’re not alone, we see you there
we have something to show you, something to share

to my surprise right from the sky
a meteor fell in my open eye
the light intense, there was no pain
only alien music in a minor refrain

they said you’re experiment 31
cannot tell anyone
you’re experiment 31
watching you, watching everyone

the light was gone, no one there
saw the blackbirds take to the air
would anyone believe me, i wondered still
not a soul, no, no one will

i turned and left, went on my way
passed a streetlight, began to sway
spinning round, going faster now
lost my step, plunged to the ground

looking up at the twisting sky
saw two satellites pass me by
they say to me, we see you there
we stole your mind your thoughts and fears

experiment 31, we anesthetize everyone
you’re experiment 31
what have they done?
they said, you’re experiment 31
cannot tell anyone
you’re experiment 31
watching you
watching everyone
